Judaic Studies & Hebrew Education
Rebecca has been working as an educator for more than 20 years. She primarily focuses in Bnei Mitzvah preparation, Judaic Studies and Hebrew (beginner-advanced). Operating like a Jewish life and experience concierge, Rebecca plans and leads elaborate trips to Israel, performs as a religious officiant at events, creates educational resources to supplement learning, and teaches both Hebrew and Yiddish languages. Her shih-poo dog, Scout, affectionately known as the @BarkMitzvahTutor, helps make Jewish learning even more unique and fun. Since 1998 she has mentored and taught more than 700 children for Bnei Mitzvah and maintains a rigorous schedule of more than 40 private sessions a week. Rebecca has worked with Central Synagogue, Congregation Habonim, Door To Door Tutoring and has private students as well. She also used to work as a consultant from 2008-2011 for The NYC Department of Education's Office of Arts and Special Programs.
Ceremony Officiation
Rabbi Rebecca has officiated over hundreds of Bnei Mitzvah in the tristate area, Florida, and around the world, including London and Israel. She is available to help your family accomplish the type of service you desire, customizing liturgy, music, and personal touches. She is available to lead Jewish Weddings, baby namings, funerals, holiday gatherings and other life cycle events. She works with many area musicians and event planners to help accomplish your family's vision.
Conversion tutoring, guidance and ceremony
The process becoming Jewish is involved and very special. Rebecca has worked with several adults and young adults, seeing them through to meaningful conversions. We will tailor a course of study for your schedule and timeline, help create a framework for continued Jewish observance and hold a modern conversion ceremony and mikvah (immersion).
Custom Prayer Books
Rebecca can create a custom prayer book for your Bar or Bat Mitzvah, wedding, or family event, complete with all the prayers and readings of your child's service, family photos, and inspirational quotes and notes you'd like to include. A custom siddur, with a design that matches the decor of your event, makes the perfect keep-sake from this family milestone.​
